Unemployed Muses

Many of you are aware of the muse situation from The Onion’s breaking news story.

Although we applaud The Onion’s journalistic integrity, we here at WLBOTT feel that a deeper dive is necessary.

The Idyllic Perception

Part of the mission of promoting Unemployed Muse Awareness is to expose common misconceptions. We surveyed 10,000 Texans, and found 42 that knew what a muse was. The unfounded consensus was that, even unemployed, muses lived an idyllic life….

The Sad Reality

In truth, life is often very difficult for unemployed muses.

They are often driven to squalor and despondancy.

Hoping for the Kindness of Strangers

Oh, the Humiliation

As if the Texas Workforce Commission wasn’t already depressing enough….

Resourceful, yet Ultimately Futile

Despondancy

Sadly, as unemployment stretches on and on, many muses have to resort to soup kitchens, and are sometimes unfairly incarcerated without due process.

WLBOTT’s Position

WLBOTT has never, ever laid off a muse. In fact, our commitment to muses goes from pre-history into the far future.
