The Ukrainian Tater Tot (part 2)

[Part 2 of our ongoing series: Exploring the Ukrainian Tater Tot Market]

She [Dr. Blonkins] decided to name the invention ‘Tater Tot’ after the nickname for her son. Unfortunately, Dr. Blonkins passed away prematurely due to cardiovascular disease from too much tot consumption and was awarded (posthumously) the James Beard Award for lifetime contributions to American cuisine.

Elder JimZim

We appreciate Elder JimZim’s review of the recent invention of the Tater Tot. But technically, it is a re-discovery. Our extensive research suggests that tater tots date back to European medieval times, and possibly even prior to the introduction of the potato to Europe. This has left our researchers puzzled, not not enough to dig into it further.

Tot Henge

Initially, tots were offered to the Nature Spirits.

Later, the stones themselves were replaced with tater tots. Sadly, due to the perishable nature of tots, little direct archeological evidence remains.

The Coronation of the Queen of Tater Tots

In a handful of renaissance and medieval museums scattered about Europe, one may find depictions of the crowning of the Queen of Tots.

Other historical evidence is found in church stained glass and frescos.
