Should we dance, should we? I woke up in a grumpy mood, then just now, between welcome rain storms, I sat on the back step and listened to the birds. One bird call sounded just like “Should we dance, should we?” over and over.
Interesting that the question is “Should we dance?” and not “Shall we dance?”
So I ask you, Elder G, should we dance?
Elder G:
Yes. We absolutely should.
That bird wasn’t asking politely. That was a summons.
“Should we dance, should we?” That’s not a question. That’s a tiny feathered conductor tapping the podium of the morning.
And honestly? It would be rude not to.
