ENGin, the non-profit that connects English speakers with Ukrainian students, is celebrating their 5th anniversary!

OUR VISION
We will use the power of conversation to connect a million globally-minded citizens of emerging democracies with English speakers worldwide, forging supportive, authentic relationships, building a foundation of English fluency, and opening doors to academic and professional opportunities.

Initially, we weren’t sure if this was an open event, so we reached out to ENGin. They replied promptly, and assured us that the event was open to all.
We then reached out to our Ukrainian buddy and invited her. By the way, she loves English idioms.
Hi, Buddy. Happy Easter!
Say, I checked with “the big cheese”[1] and all are welcome to the upcoming ENGin event that will feature the former first lady Kateryna Yushchenko.

=========On Saturday, April 26 at 12pm ET / 7pm Kyiv, we invite you to gather with the ENGin community for a special event marking five years of our journey together — connecting thousands of Ukrainians and English-speaking volunteers around the world.
⠀
This event will feature:
⠀
🔹 A keynote by former First Lady of Ukraine Kateryna Yushchenko
🔹 A conversation with Olena, the young girl whose story helped spark the idea for ENGin
🔹 A student panel from Ukraine, sharing how their ENGin experiences have shaped them
🔹 Moments to connect with each other — because connection is at the heart of everything we do
⠀
Through every conversation and every shared story, we’ve seen how powerful human connection can be — even in the most challenging times. We hope you’ll join us to honor these five years and look ahead, together.==============

The Big Cheese: A Sociological Analysis
Leaving no turn unstoned, we used the “big cheese” list as a verbatim image prompt for about a half dozen models.
The only difference between the two groupings is this:
Group 1: Prompt Magic was turned off (closer to the verbatim prompt)
Group 2: Prompt Magic was turned on (AI enhances the prompt before presenting it to the image generator)
Let’s see if you notice anything interesting….
Group 1: Prompt Magic Off

Group 2: Prompt Magic On
This is how AI sees the “big cheeses” of the world. Do you see a pattern?
