Today’s addition of The Guardian<\/a> interviews Heather Cox Richardson. HCR is held in the highest regard by WLBOTT<\/strong>, and has been given the honorary title WYNHO<\/strong>.

HCR offers a profound solution to the crisis in America:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The antidote, Richardson argues, is an explicitly democratic history \u201cbased in the idea that marginalised populations have always kept the principles of the Declaration of Independence front and centre in our history\u201d.<\/em>

HCR on Facebook<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

HCR’s Facebook page<\/a> has 1.7M followers. I was lucky to tune into her page early, and she provided much needed insight and historical context to the dysfunction that descended on our beloved country in 2016. But HCR has pointed out many times that there is nothing new or novel about the malignancies facing our country – there are direct links from today’s problem to the Civil War (and before), and important parallels can be drawn from recent history:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
