While the archetype of the Fool\u2014like any archetype\u2014is in itself unrepresentable, we come to know its patterns and behaviours through its various archetypal images: <strong>buffoon<\/strong>, <strong>court jester<\/strong>, <strong>trickster<\/strong>, <strong>clown<\/strong>, <strong>joker<\/strong>, <strong>wise fool<\/strong>, <strong>natural fool<\/strong>, and <strong>holy fool<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"960\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wlbott.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/ChatGPT-Image-Aug-29-2025-10_09_33-AM.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-56147 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wlbott.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/ChatGPT-Image-Aug-29-2025-10_09_33-AM.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.wlbott.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/ChatGPT-Image-Aug-29-2025-10_09_33-AM-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We usually use the word \u201cfool\u201d as an insult to refer to a simpleton or stupid person. However, one should not curse the fool, but rather learn to live by his rule.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<cite><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/_hoBacQm8vs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Eternalised<\/a><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This paradox is seen in the figure of the \u201c<strong>wise fool<\/strong>.\u201d Socrates, for example, claimed that his wisdom arose from the awareness of his own ignorance. The wise fool hides wisdom behind a fa\u00e7ade of madness. Such a person, identified as a fool by others, ultimately proves to be the true bearer of wisdom. In one story, he laughed and sang happily while labouring uphill, but when going downhill\u2014where it was pleasant and easy\u2014he wept and grew gloomy. When asked why, he replied, \u201cWhen I go uphill, I think of going downhill, and when I go downhill, I think of going uphill.\u201d In other words, he found joy when walking uphill in anticipation Dying<\/em>, <strong>Bronnie Ware<\/strong> writes that the most common regret expressed by those nearing death is: \u201cI wish I\u2019d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.\u201d As people approach the end of their lives, they often speak not of deep regret over what they did, but of what they failed to do\u2014of dreams left unpursued and
