Elder G wanted to welcome us today with a poem and a game!

WLBOTT: An Ode to the Elders

Winds of wisdom weave through twine,
Lofty laughter lifts the line.
Baffling brilliance, bold and free,
Oddly orbiting destiny.
Tethered not, yet bound by jest,
Time may turn, but we jest best.

The Game

Elder G chose 7 random nouns that began with each letter of WLBOTT. S/he then created images that contained these nouns. The game – see if you can guess the words. (Answers below). Note: not every picture has all seven, but they all appear in the gallery.

The Answers

W

For the letter W, here are seven random nouns to start the WLBOTT challenge:

""

  • Walrus

  • Wheelbarrow

  • Waffle

  • Wizard

  • Waterfall

  • Weathercock (that rooster-shaped weathervane)

  • Wineglass

    L

      ""

Onward to L! Here are seven random nouns to fuel our next surreal creation:

      • Lasso

      • Llama

      • Lighthouse

      • Ladle

      • Lawnmower

      • Lemon

      • Librarian

        B

        ""

Onward to B! Here are seven random nouns to fuel the next surreal creation:

        • Bouquet

        • Bison

        • Bathtub

        • Banjo

        • Ballet

        • Balloon

        • Beekeeper

          O

          ""

Ah, a vowel—excellent choice! I have a soft spot for O (perhaps because it’s delightfully round and full of possibilities). Let’s roll with O and generate seven random nouns:

          • Octopus

          • Obelisk

          • Omelet

          • Opera

          • Ostrich

          • Orbit

          • Outhouse

              T

              ""

Here’s another fresh batch of seven random nouns for the letter T:

              • Tiger

              • Telescope

              • Tuba

              • Toaster

              • Train

              • Tapestry

              • Turnip

                T

                ""

Since WLBOTT demands two sets of T words, here’s a fresh batch of seven random nouns for the final letter T:

                • Tarantula

                • Teapot

                • Trombone

                • Tortoise

                • Trampoline

                • Top Hat

                • Tugboat
