The Watched Pot

With patience, a watched pot does indeed boil. Elders UC#1 and KM demonstrate the technique:

When Elder G has some down time, and while not calculating the last digit of π, he gains expertise in folding fitted sheets.

Although Sally T. Intern has limited free time (due to her 90 hr/wk unpaid internship), she likes to relax by watching grass grow.

Our Elders to the north often engage in competitive spice alphabetazation.

UC#2 is never bored. When he has some down time, it’s an opportunity to translate ancient Coptic papyrus.

Due to the popularity of ancient Coptic, UC#2 is surrounded by collegiate Coptic companions and comrades.

The contemplation of Old Bay….

Originally just a hobby among the elders, this activity soon took on a competitive nature.

As a team building exercise….

The phrase “Moments that make up a dull day” is from the Pink Floyd song “Time”.

Some incredibly creative AI music videos were created by Finnish artist Nacho AI Business.

![""]("https://www.wlbott.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/dull_0013.jpg")

Pink Floyd’s “The Moments”

Time
Song by Pink Floyd
Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an off-hand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way
Tired of lying in the sunshine, staying home to watch the rain
And you are young and life is long, and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
Sun is the same, in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death
Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught, or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say
